DTCUP Browser connects your selected Chrome pages to your Codex client through a local Windows companion. DTCUP provides this extension. For questions about this policy, contact admin@dtcup.com.
Data needed for browser tasks
The extension can list open tab titles and addresses so that you or your AI client can choose a page. On a page selected for a task, it can read visible text, form labels and values, page structure, account identifiers and the results of requested actions. It can capture screenshots when requested. Depending on the page you select, this information may include personal details, business records, financial or payment information, health information, private communications, location information or authentication-related information present in page text or URLs. Requested clicks, inputs, scrolling and checks can also be recorded as part of that task. These categories describe content that can occur on selected pages; they do not mean the extension reads your saved password vault, full browsing history or device GPS. Do not request access to information you are not authorized to use.
Recognized password, token and one-time-code input fields are masked and cannot be filled automatically. This protection does not guarantee that all sensitive information in page text or screenshots will be removed. Website sign-in, security challenges and browser-native permission prompts may require your direct action.
The extension does not use a cookies API, export browser cookies or request full browsing-history access. It does not provide an arbitrary JavaScript or local-command execution tool to the AI client.
Where information goes
Task data flows from the Chrome extension to the companion installed on your computer and then to your local Codex client through MCP. Requested page text, results, screenshots and task files may become part of your AI conversation. Codex and its service provider may process that information under the terms, privacy policy and account settings that apply to your client. A local browser connection does not mean the entire AI conversation stays offline.
The browser-task connection does not send page contents, task records, screenshots or browser cookies to DTCUP servers. DTCUP does not sell this data or use it for advertising, credit scoring or unrelated profiling. DTCUP staff cannot remotely inspect your local task records through this connection. If you choose to send a support request, we receive the email address, message and attachments you provide and use them to address that request. Remove sensitive content before sharing diagnostic files.
The product website is served separately from the browser-task connection. Its hosting provider may process ordinary web-request information such as IP address, request time, user agent and requested URL to serve and secure the site. These website requests do not include the contents of your browser tasks.
Local records and retention
The companion stores connection settings, browser-instance bindings, task checkpoints, necessary action inputs, expected results, receipts and redacted diagnostic events under your Windows user account. These records can contain business or personal information. Windows user permissions protect the product data directory. This statement is not a claim that every file, export or image is encrypted.
The default task-record retention period is seven days; settings offer one, seven, fourteen, thirty or ninety days. Cleanup runs at startup, after retention changes and periodically while the companion is running. Completed records are removed when eligible. Unfinished tasks and unresolved submitted requests may remain until resolved or explicitly cleared, to avoid repeating an action whose result is unknown.
Screenshots are generated on request and are not saved as local screenshot files by default. If you enable screenshot retention, saved images follow the selected retention setting. A file selected for upload is copied into task storage; its grant lasts at most one hour and expired managed copies are cleaned up. Your original file is not modified. Website downloads remain where you saved them. Managed export copies follow retention; exports or downloads saved outside product storage are yours to manage.
Installation records, pairing information and backups of the pre-installation Codex configuration are retained separately from task logs. Configuration backups may contain settings from your existing MCP services; do not share them. Clearing task records does not remove these installation records or backups. Uninstalling the companion preserves local records by default.
Your controls
You can pause or stop a task, inspect task progress, export records, change retention and clear managed task records. Clearing records while an unresolved request exists requires a separate clear-records decision because it removes recovery and duplicate-prevention evidence. Clearing a record does not undo a request already received by a website.
You can revoke website access in Chrome, remove the extension and uninstall the companion separately. These actions do not remove data already included in a Codex conversation, externally saved exports or website downloads. Use the relevant AI provider's controls to manage conversation data. You can contact admin@dtcup.com about a support message you previously sent.
Limited Use and policy changes
DTCUP Browser's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Task information is used for the disclosed browser-task functionality. We do not use or transfer it for unrelated advertising or lending decisions. We will update this policy and the relevant product disclosures before introducing materially different data practices.
